Today turned into a snow day, but I was still going to get to go knit at Late Night. I was happy:) I baked cookies to bring along and was going to get some other things to contribute at Trader Joe's. The car had my knitting bag and purse and all I needed was to drop something off with the neighbor lady. I run up to the door thinking this going to be quick. Well, she needs the driveway shoveled. I offer to do it and spend the next hour plus doing that. I was glad to help, but also ready to go knit. So, I finally head out. All is well until I get to Trader Joe's. I need a ticket to get in the parking garage. The window seems slow....I start to worry my motor my be going, but it makes it back up. I purchase needed supplies and head out. Window goes down again to give man ticket. Wait, the window will only go down halfway!!! I play with the buttons up, down, up, down, but never more than halfway up. I am getting panicky. I can't leave my car with the window down to knit. I rush to my car place. Argh! They closed early. Sigh, I drive home with the window halfway down and the heat blasting (good thing I had a hoody on..so I could tie it around my head). After some Google action and multiple screwdrivers I removed the inner door cover and managed to get the window back up. (It jumped the track and it seems that it is a common problem for my car year, humph). It will be sad looking until I get some repair quotes, but at least I will be warm and the car will be secure.
Check out the sad car door.
And not to end on a sad note, Happy Hearts Day!
